Earlier this month at Shreve, Crump & Low in Greenwich, CT, Breitling unveiled a new limited-edition timepiece paying tribute to ice hockey legend Wayne Gretzky. The new Chronomat 44 Wayne Gretzky Limited Edition is made of gold and limited to only 50 pieces to commemorate the record Wayne Gretzky set in 1981 by scoring 50 goals in only 39 games. Each of the 50 pieces is numbered as well, as any proper limited edition should be. Gretzky’s logo is on the subdial at the nine o’clock position and his signature is on the rotor which is visible through the caseback. The watch has Breitling’s in-house Caliber B-01.
