This year Baume & Mercier will introduce an automatic chronograph version of its “Clifton” collection which debuted last year. There are three color variations, all with 43mm case and see-through caseback, with day + date in an open display at 3 o’clock and ETA7750 base movement. The Baume & Mercier Clifton collection was very well received when it was introduced last year, and rightly so; it became the fourth active collection from the brand along with the more complicated Capeland, the Classima, and the Hampton collections . These new Clifton chronos are a logical and nicely done addition to the collection. Nice curves, nicely proportioned dials, and nice colors. And nice price: they will be available from April 2014 with a price right around $4,000, give or take (final pricing TBA). I can’t think of a reason not to like these watches!
blue hands against a sun satin-finished silver dial on a black alligator skin strap
same as the 10123 except on steel bracelet
undoubtedly the most “vintage” of the collection, with a more traditional look featuring a sun satin- finished silver dial to contrast with its golden hands and golden digits, fitted with a brown alligator skin strap with large square scales
