Thomas Prescher Nemo Captain Triple-Axis Tourbillon

Joining the Nemo “Sailor” I blogged abut last year, master watchmaker Thomas Prescher recently introduced this triple-axis troubillon, The Nemo “Captain” is thus the second watch of the “Nemo” series.  The watch is inspired by Jules Verne’s 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea along with steampunk and art nouveau influences, according to Mr. Prescher.  The case is 44mm x 12mm with sapphire crystal dome over the triple tourbillon bringing total height to ~16mm.

Prescher is perhaps famous for his triple-axis tourbillon, and the complication takes center stage in this new piece (well, almost center).  Prescher also added a jumping hour indication in the lower-right quadrant of the dial.

As with most of Thomas Prescher’s creations, this piece was made for a specific client which makes us thus lucky to get to see this piece.
