Blue, blue blue…

The first TAG Heuer watch co-designed by Leonardo DiCaprio, it is emblazoned with either a NRDC or a Green Cross International logo on its dial. Royalties generated from its sales go directly to the two environmental organizations, as part of a multi-million dollar initiative spearheaded by Leonardo DiCaprio. My watch friend Lex who runs Oceanic Time recently featured the watch which reminded me of my hands-on encounter with the watch a couple months ago at a local dealer. Up close and personal, I was impressed with the color — it is quite vibrant and beautiful. Even the crown is blue! Price is about $1,800.

I purchased this as my first nice watch for my 21st.
Since then I have purchased the Gulf Monaco and Carrera Day-Date but I still find myself wearing this far more than either of the others.

The blue is so vibrant and looks great, and the brushed/polished/brused steel band just makes the blue ‘pop’ evan more.

Just thought I’d share my own two cent, I love this watch and although it may not be the most expensive or the prettiest, it is my favorite.

Now if they make one in the red of the old silverstone I’ll be a very happy boy!
