SIHH 2011: Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Tourbillon Chronograph

Forged Carbon + Black Ceramic…

I’m going to try and stay focused on the “big and bad” (sportier/chrono) watches today and then I will switch it up a bit tomorrow to cover some of the dress watches coming out of the SIHH 2011 show in Geneva. Of course you need not wait for my opinion — you can see everything that has been released thus far HERE on our Official SIHH 2011 Forum Feed, but that’s how I am going to proceed for today.

So let’s now take a look at another Audemars Piguet — the limited edition Tourbillon Chronograph, Ref. 26550, with a forged carbon case and black ceramic bezel/crown and pushpieces. The bezel screws are titanium. I love the fusion of these materials!

I have heard rumblings of an about to be released extremely cool new Hublot called “Moon Over Miami”. I hear it is an “all-black” “skeletonized” King Power featuring a moon-phase complication that is positioned under the “12″ (hence the name, “Moon OVER Miami”), with a black rubberized Florida Alligator strap. I hear there will only be 100 produced, along with another 10 with a black diamond baguette set bezel, as well as another 3 to 5 with a Burmese ruby baguette set bezel known as the “Moon Over Miami” “Black Cherry”. I hear the watch is amazing-looking and will be sold-out prior to its actual release.
