The new Omega Planet Ocean Titanium & Liquidmetal – 45.5mm titanium case with Liquidmetal bezel.  Movement is Omega’s Co-Axial Calibre 8500.   Rubber strap.  An absolute beauty.   Look’s like Omega is not going to let Rolex entirely steal the show this year!

White date wheel with blue numerals would ahve killed this watch

Nice suggestion! Maybe they can make the change on future production runs!
      Either way…I’ll take it!

Is the watchface black and the bezel blue? Can’t quite make out the color scheme.

watch face and bezel are Blue. I an appreciate that is a little hard to see/discern from the pics I have!

      thanks for the comment.
I consider myself to have an average to small wrist — the 45mm Omega PO case fits me just great!

I kinda like it. But is that a black date wheel under a blue dial?

  • Nice Guy

Are they going to make a Seamaster Planet Ocean Titanium Liquidmetal in Black or is it only coming in Blue?

At this point, I do not know. sorry :-(

I do prefer the metal strap as opposed to the leather, a la Omega Seamaster Professional, but I guess it’s personal taste.  A beautiful watch in anybody’s book.

Well, this watch caught my attention when first news of it appeared. I now own one (Xmas present 2012) and it’s a really, really great watch. Gives all the competition a run for its money. With the new materials and technical enhancements the evolution just seems to be perfect.
I can’t help comparing it with the JLC NSA Titanium (which I also own) and (IMO) it clearly surpasses the NSA in ‘delivery’ and bang for buck.
Omega clearly demonstrate that they know what they are doing and that they are also leaders in the field.

@goju1:disqus Hey goju! Woweee! Merry Christmas. I am happy to hear you now own this watch. If you would ever like to send over some pics, I’d gladly welcome them — I’m yet to see anything other than stock photos of this watch ;-) Or like I did with the fella who owned the Hublot Oceanographic 1000, I would be glad to share the photos with Perpetuelle readers. (fully respectful of your decision on this). In any event, I hope you enjoy the watch. And best wishes for a happy healthy 2013! Kyle
