Baselworld 2013 preview…

Maurice Lacroix Masterpiece Worldtimer Europe

This is a nicely styled worldtimer coming in 2013 from Maurice Lacroix.  It is part of the brand’s “Masterpiece” collection which contains ML’s more interesting, complicated and higher priced pieces ($5k-$20k). Two versions are being offered, one “Europe” and one “Asia”, evidenced by the continents engraved on the center of the dial bordered.  The European version features exceptional guilloché work with a Clous de Paris motif.   The Asian version favors is not quite so bold in its effects, with a silvered dial, sun-brushed satin-finished continents, pink gold numerals and hands and blue seconds hand.

Each is in a 42mm steel case, with automatic mechanical movement.  Both models have a day/night indication at 9 o’clock and the date at 6 o’clock. The 24-hour hand indicates the time in your place of residence, simply pressing on the push-button enables you to adjust the 12-hour hand to show the time in your current location.
