Longines celebrates its 180th anniversary in 2012, and has issued a monopusher chronograph to mark the occasion. Longines tells me that the decidedly vintage-looking piece “is a reminder of the first chronographs produced by Longines from 1878 on” For me this watch is defined by its very elegantly shaped wire lugs. The rose gold case is sized nicely at 40mm. I only wish the Longines had used enamel for the dial, but the blue steel hands still contrast nicely with the white dial. Overall a nice looking watch.
