As I mentioned in my last Longines post, Longines is launching various new models this year to to mark its 180th anniversary, and thus far the lineup has been impressive (see: Longines Monopusher Chronograph 180th Anniversary LE, Longines Saint-Imier Collection Retrograde Moon Phases). This 1942 Heritage Chronograph was directly inspired by a model dating from 1942 which was fitted with calibre 13ZN. This new timepiece has a circular steel case with a diameter of 40mm and an automatic mechanical column-wheel chronograph movement designed exclusively for Longines (ETA). Vintage style round pushers are consistent with timepieces from the 1940s. The lacquered dial is available in white or black. I am not a fan of the cut-off arabic numerals, but overall a sharp looking watch.
