Below: FP Journe Vagabondage II watch
F.P. Journe’s Vagabondage watches (2 distinct models in the series thus far) present with a fair bit of departure relative to the rest of F.P.Journe’s watches, in terms of overall design and how the watches display time. The first Vagabondage was introduced in 2004 for the 30th birthday of auction house Antiquorum. Journe produced 3 unique pieces — on each in white, yellow and rose gold, and all with a brass movement (Journe’s movements are typically in solid gold). After these three watches, Journe produced another Vagabondage design in a limited series of 69 pieces cased in platinum, and 10 set with baguette diamonds (circa 2005-06). This was marked the first serially-produced F.P.Journe watch with a non-round case.
The Vagabondage II was officially unveiled at Baselworld 2010 – 69 pieces in platinum and 68 in 18k rose gold. And now we see in Journe’s just released 2016 holiday video that the Vagabondage III may be revealed in 2017. That, or something else distinctly Journe.
