First look…the new Zegna dive watch, as manufactured by Girard-Perregaux:
A fine departure from the dressy and refined Zegna Monterubello and Centennial watches, for sure. The partnership between Italian fashion house Ermenegildo Zegna and Swiss watch manufacture Girard-Perregaux is starting to get very interesting! I’ve got all the details, and plenty of looks –
Ermenegildo Zegna High Performance Sea Diver Watch

The influence of GP’s Sea Hawk dive watch here is unmistakable, though not at all surprising. The High Performance Sea Diver is a 42mm steel-cased diving watch with unidirectional bezel fitted with a blackened aluminum insert. Note also the “EZ” notation on the crown.

Caseback and ETA-base caliber — all Zegna all the way:

A particularly interesting detail is the combination of “sword” minute hand and “snakehead” hour hand. Note also the ‘double red’ printing of the words ‘High Performance’ and ’300M / 1000FT’, and the finely textured dial:

Available now — for a very reasonable 2500 EUR / 2800 CHF (about $3,000 US at current f/x). You can thank the ETA-based caliber for the price
By the way, there is more to come here…I’ll bring it later this week…stay tuned…
