Breitling just announced a new model, the Breitling Super Avenger Military. The watch has a 48mm x 17.75mm black-coated steel case (Breitling refers to it is “ultra-resistant carbon-based” coating) that is water resistant to 1,000 feet; the chrono-pushers have screwed-in guards
are screw-down, with rough texturing for no-slip operation (same with the crown). The matching black dial has luminous stenciled numerals which display a not-oft-seen 24-hour time display. The watch is appropriately paired with a black fabric strap to complete the military look.
Although the size is a bit much for my tastes, this is a solid looking issue for the Breitling enthusiast. List price on the regular Super Avenger II is around $5,100, so expect this one a decent bit higher than this given that it is a limited edition run of 500 pieces.
