Bell & Ross has unveiled a new piece in its “Heritage” collection, this one the WW1-92. The dial design on this pilot-style watch is notable in that it is designed for short flights of under an hour, in which the minute display became the focus of the observer. Thus, the minute numerals are prominent along the outer edge of the dial, and the hour numerals moved to a smaller circle within. Though the WW1-92 is a nice looking watch, I find it’s case size a bit large at 45mm and the “heritage” style straps a bit too narrow for my tastes. Given a choice, I’d step it up a notch and go for the Glashutte Original Senator Navigator as my watch of choice for this particular design.
