First look…

As I said in my prior preview of the 2013 IWC Ingenieur Automatic Ref 3239, the Year of the IWC Ingenieur is almost upon us, following 2012 as the Year of the IWC Pilot’s Watch and 2011 as  the Year of the IWC Portofino.   That is, IWC features a particular collection each year, and in 2013 it will be the heralded Ingenieur.

Here is a special look at two more IWC Ingenieur’s that will debut in 2013.  The first is a ceramic model, the second a racing model (note the tachy scale around the bezel).   The ceramic model very clearly builds off of the design of the $12,700 Ingenieur Double Chronograph Titanium (Ref 3765) which debuted in 2011.   IWC is also very clearly building on its new global partnership with the  Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula 1 team (announced May 2012, IWC is the “Official Engineering Partner” starting Jan 2013).
