Wrist Shot – a Facebook App for Watch Fans

A Facebook App for Watch Owners, Collectors & Enthusiasts…

OK we’re going to try something new here — I just launched a new Facebook app called “Wrist Shot”. If you like watches, this app is for you! The purpose of this app is add a small bit of watch-specific fun into your Facebook page. Invite your friends, and soon enough you can all see “who’s wearing what”!

“Wrist Shot” is very simple– all you do is go to the app, give it permission (follow the prompts), and then upload a picture and the name of whatever watch you happen to be wearing (aka the “wrist shot”). Repeat daily/weekly/whenever you feel like it. Actually, you can use any photo that you like. Have fun with it!

After you upload your photo, your page will automatically be updated and your friends will see your wrist shot appear in their news feed. You can see what this will look like, below. Note that you can also add a “Wrist Shot” tab to your page for easy access and viewing.

And that’s all there is to it!

I absolutely love the concept, but don’t like to advertise that I collect watches as it would make my house a mark for criminals.

Not sure if you are aware, but if you do not want make your personal information (address, etc) available to strangers and criminals, you can change your Facebook Privacy settings (i.e. you can restrict who is able to find you, friend you, and/or see specific information on your Facebook page).

Hi,
I am having problems with the app. I was not happy with my first post and can’t delete it. How do you manage your post delete. From my tab or bookmark I see no controls to fix post add/remove. And now trying to do it over and it want post to my wall. I have all setting correct???
Please help with this.

You delete the post as you would any other posting to your Facebook Wall — place your mouse over it and you will see the “remove” option that Facebook provides. Right now, the app itself does not provide a means to remove your last uploaded image (however we will work on enabling this as it seems it would be a useful feature). Also, while the app itself does not store your previously uploaded wrist shots, your history will still be accessible through your Wall / news feed. Does this make sense? I deleted the app and then re-added it with the same problem, it even pulled back the original shot and post I was trying to get rid of when I re-added the app.

When you answer my question, if you can provide more info as to how the app works it would be nice. For example when you take another pic for an additional watch does the app place it under the previous one or does it overwrite the previous post. In each of my trials it replaced the original post. I’m hoping it will keep past post kinda like an album, if not wouldn’t be much need to use the app?
