Most watch fans are aware of one of the biggest and most important watch shows of the year which starts next week, SIHH. But keep in mind that there is a lesser known, though every bit as important, show that will also run concurrently to the SIHH — the Geneve Time Exhibition, or GTE. The GTE 2013 will be the fourth such occurrence of the show, and it has become one of the go-to shows for leading and/or up and coming independent watchmakers.
Due to its slightly lower profile and relative newness, the show does take a back seat to SIHH activities. But this is not to say that some of watchmaking’s finest will not be on display — rest assured that there will be some exciting timepieces on display at GTE 2013. Perpetuelle will do its best to bring you looks at as many as we can. Twitter fans keep an eye on the action via #GTE2013 and follow the official Twitter account @GTE2013. GTE website is HERE>>>

That is, not associated with the likes of Swatch or Richemont or some of the other big watch/luxury houses. There are fairly well known and sizable brands such as Frederique Constant and Alpina; there are also exciting and ultra exclusive watch makers such as Cabestan, Clerc, Antoine Martin, Artya, De Monaco, H. Moser, Laurent Ferrier, Hautlence and Speake-Marin. And several more — 34 exhibitors in total. Here they are:
