Props to my watch friends over at HODINKEE for the look at this one…
Thinking today of Halloween, so why not check out some of Damien Hirst’s work. If you are not familiar with Hirst, you should check him out as he is quite the creator of things bizarre, weird and/or otherwise insane (for example, The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living (tiger shark in formaldehyde)). Of interest to me is that, according to HODINKEE, Hirst is a Panerai collector and the brand has made appearances (physical and otherwise) in previous examples of his work (“Skull with Watch” “The Tranquility of Solitude (for George Dyer)” “Killing Time” (2008). In two more recently unveiled works, Panerai dials are used.
