Thin is in!

First Vacheron Constantin, now Piaget. At SIHH 2010 in Geneva Piaget will be introducing a new ultra-thin Piaget Altiplano. The watch is 43mm diameter but a mere 5.25mm thick. Clean, simple and beautiful as we expect from Piaget. 43mm diameter does seem a bit large, though. A couple pics below – click here to see the full press release and more pictures.

That is really a beautiful face. Too bad it’s marred with the oversized Piaget logo and especially the “Automatic” label. If they reduced the size of the logo and got rid of the “automatic” it would be perfect.

I’d also love to see it with a metal bracelet – the perfect dress watch.

I agree the font could be a bit smaller, BUT that is a gorgeous watch. What a beautiful movement! Also, it is hard not to like the clean crisp lines aesthetically. Very nice.
