Gentlemen please know that the watch is made entirely by the watch maker and not by Zegna.
In fact the watch is an extremely rare and unique piece of which there is only 100 made WORLD WIDE. It has been appraised to double it's value within 2 to 5 years. It is a great colection piece not to mention a wise investment. This watch is a symbol of excellence from a company that has only given us the best. Perregaux and Zegna is a combination made in heaven.

Hey Tom--fair points you raise. All in all, it is a great looking watch. To your point, I think that the true watch enthusiasts would opt for a GP branded piece, whereas a fashion enthusiast may very well prefer the Zegna branded piece.

I saw this piece when I visited GP earlier this year and while I have to say it looks absolutely exquisite in the flesh, as Kyle quite rightly points out it the dial and overall design is almost identical to the GP branded Equation of Time piece. Which begs the question, why would I want to buy a watch from a fashion house (which really has no history to speak of when it comes to watch making except possibly the loose connection with Angelo Zegna) when I could buy an almost identical piece for GP which has several centuries of watch-making heritage?

Don't get me wrong, I love Zegna, (especially their suits) but this to me doesn't really make sense. If they wanted to make something truly special to celebrate this special anniversary they should have made a completely unique, one-off series IMHO.

I was just at the EZ store on Saturday and I forgot to ask them if they had heard of or seen the watch. It will be on my list of things to do this week.
