You make a great point re: the price relative to the movement (valjoux 7750). This watch is all about everything but the movement, it seems – which is fine of course…however they want to market their watch!

As to the price…maybe we could consider this the “Kobe” effect?

I’ve never seen any of these watches in the metal, however judging from the photos the Nubeo Black Mamba is my favorite. But i’m shocked by the price of this chronograph with a ’simple’ Valjoux 7750.

Lukas – I have not seen the watch in person, but from the pics the Black Mamba is very appealing to me. I guess I’m going to have to check it out in person!

Actually the author of this post was one of the blogs contributing writers – our “sports” watch guy, Toby. Although I haven’t seen the Nubeo in person, but on screen I’d have to say I would opt for the AP, too.

Hi Kyle,

I am not sure if AP has produced any new Shaq editions but I will say they presently have an original for sale in their boutique on 57th street. It is, of course, brand new and with boxes and papers, so it looks like the Shaq may not have been a popular seller.
