UTS 1000M GMT Dive Watch

Munich, Germany-based UTS, known for its deep diving watches, recently announced a new version of its 1000 meter GMT featuring a dark blue dial with sunburst pattern. The watch has a 43mm mono-block steel case (constructed in-house from German steel) and is powered by the reliable ETA 2893-2 Swiss Movement. Yours for $3150.

UTS prides itself on original designs and watch cases that are 100% constructed in-house. UTS watches are proudly crafted not in factory, but a small workshop — that of Nicolaus Spinner. That UTS is not a widely known name is the essence of this brand and all like it. Original design, small production, and hand-craftsmanship — these things are to be appreciated. As the fortunate owner of two UTS watches I can certainly attest to the ‘integrity’ of these watches. I was also very fortunate to meet Herr Spinner in Munich. I met him at his office and we spent several hours discussing the manufacture of his masterpieces.
The design and construction of the UTS 3000 Pro (in particular) is unique and provides a much better solution for Helium ingress than the more common ‘escape valves’ found in other watches.
The engineering tolerances of UTS watches are unbeaten and there is also a Tourbillon version available.
Anyone who is fortunate enough to acquire any model of an UTS watch should never let it go, except only to pass on to pass on to one’s progeny. These are watches that will endure time itself!

That is very neat you were able to meet Herr Spinner — one of the benefits of exploring small but high-quality brands such as this is being able to meet with the owner/head of the company.
