Carbon composite case…
OK here we go now with the 2015 Panerai lineup. Some exciting pieces in here as usual. The Paneristi can (and will) debate the 2015 collection endlessly (some “love it” “so excited” vs. some “hate it” “so disappointed”, right?), though for me I’d say that 2015 is a bit more exciting than last year. The primary focus is on the Luminor Submersible collection, where we have three new references. Let’s start with the new Panerai PAM 616 aka Luminor Submersible 1950 Carbotech.
As you can see, the Panerai Luminor Submersible 3 Days Automatic known by reference as PAM 616 has a unique composite case. “Carbotech” is based on carbon fiber and never before used in the world of watchmaking. While the technology of the material looks to the future, the overall design remains faithful to the history of the brand.
