Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Orange Ceramic Watch

Omega has just upped the bar, unveiling the new Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Orange Ceramic with a brushed and polished 43.5mm case crafted from 950-grade platinum with a bi-directional 24-hour GMT rotating bezel whose polished ring is made from orange ceramic (patent pending), a world premiere.  This stunning wristwatch has been produced in a limited edition of only eight pieces.

Adding to the watch’s striking appearance are the 850-grade platinum Liquidmetal numerals, division lines, inner ring and triangle on the bezel.   The dial is also platinum, with a sand-blasted finish.  You can only catch a glimpse from the images provided by Omega, but “Pt950” is engraved on the dial, just below the orange “GMT” lettering and just above the center hole.  The hands and indices are 18K white gold, and the 6 – 9 – 12 numerals, GMT applique and the central GMT hands are made of orange aluminum.

An orange rubber strap is also delivered with it along with a special tool to change it.   This timepiece is delivered in a special wooden presentation box, with a full four-year warranty.  No word yet on price.  WOW what a watch.  Looks like Omega has big plans for 2014!

“World Premiere” engraved on the caseback along with the limited edition number.   Also you get a view of the OMEGA Co-Axial calibre 8615 an automatic mechanical movement with Si14 silicon balance spring.

    Wow – nice one!
I’m not normally a big fan of the Omega PO watches, but this is a stunner. Cost will probably be the only downside to this…
Now…where are all my orange shirts :-)

Yea price is definitely an issue as is accessibility — only 8 pieces! Wait a couple months, though…it is possible there will be a more accessible iteration of this announced at Baselworld.

    Nice work, OMEGA!
