Hublot Oceanographic 4000: couple months ago I previewed the Hublot King Power 4000m Dive Watch, definitely one of the hottest watches intro’d by Hublot this year. This week Hublot “officially” launched the watch, now officially known as the “Hublot Oceanographic 4000″. It appears that a few minor tweaks have been made to the Oceanographic 4000 since my March preview, namely that Hublot has dialed-back the amount of “green” on the watch — the strap is now all black, as is the crown-lock system and rotating knob for the inner rotating bezel. Otherwise, it is still the big, bad 48mm titanium cased dive watch that you saw in March! The 4,000 meter water resistance rating is, of course, symbolic (yes, people do ask “why does anyone need a watch that can go that deep?”). Last note is that an “All Black” version of the Oceanograph 4000 — made with a carbon fiber case — is also available — no pics on this, yet.

48mm titanium (1,000 pieces) or carbon fiber (500 pieces) case, 4,000m water resistance, helium escape valve, screw-down crowns
comes with 2 standard “pin buckle” straps — one all rubber (for daily wearing) and one rubber+nylon with extra length to fit around a dive suit
